Gratitude Abounding

You guys are the best! The outpouring of loving kindness yesterday was rather extraordinary and I am deeply grateful. I want to thank you all for being so kind, so encouraging and so downright funny. Thank you for letting me be part of this community. I am humbled.

Yesterday was cold and wet and spent largely indoors. Dr T and I did venture out to a Post-Apocalpyse / Yule Part-ay to mark the one year anniversary of the End of Days and a chance for those of us not called up in The Reckoning to compare survival strategies. We have a wide social circle... and it was great fun. I particularly liked the dancing - it's always good to dance. Really must find more opportunities to make a fool of myself.

Today involved sleeping in, a brief spell of sunshine, a foray out to Stockbridge and then getting very wet and cold. I took shelter in a café while Dr T scoured the second hand book shops. I was struck by these two women who appeared to have very different lives (one young with two small children and a partner, the other older and alone in the café) and yet they seemed to mirror each other. It was a reminder for me that despite having cold, wet feet, I am a very fortunate woman and profoundly grateful.

Now we're back home, snuggled up and about to watch the Strictly Come Dancing final from last night. I haven't seen who won and I have a definite favourite. Let the dancing commence!
