Birthday Boy

It is Ns birthday, and it has been a bit more eventful than expected (note the plaster-cast). After the present opening i took Ella to the stables for their Christmas party. There was a great atmosphere going on with music playing and hot chocolate with mince pies being served in the stable yard. They had some very special visitors which added to the excitement in the form of four beautiful big police horses who are quartered there during their visit to the highlands. By lunchtime N had decided that his hand, which was a bit sore after some high jinx last night, might actually be hurt and it might be an idea to have it checked out before the Saturday night rush in a&e. I dropped him off expecting them to confirm it was nothing much, so it was a shock to discover it broken, plastered half up his arm and a follow up appointment with talk of a pin to come!! Still, he got home in time to blow out his candles.
