"The Little Creek" ...

...BEST VIEWED ON LARGE...On our way interstate today (we don't have far to travel interstate - but it sounds like we're going a long way, doesn't it) - anyway, we stopped on a bridge over this creek to take this shot - which is really a bit of a drain right here and the last time I saw this - it was as dry as a bone, and now look at it!! Being a non-flowing creek most of the time - it has lots of water weed, but we've had a little rain here and there..and there were lots of little swallows flitting around under the bridge, and what a wonderful place for them too..

...We had lunch at one of the Clubs in the town nearby and - there were only 2 other people in the huge dining room, so prettily done up for Christmas too..

...John had a serve of Ten genuine river Murray Yabbies - which resemble a small lobster about 6" long and to me - quite disgusting looking, let alone eating them..

...I really couldn't look at him eating those cooked Yabbies at all, and by the time he finished the Ten Yabbies and salad - his dish looked like a Fox's Breakfast I told him..truly, it did...and I should know -but he could have that - I had fish and salad..
The 10 Yabbies and Salad meal was $8 - which was pretty good if you like them, that is..a lot of people do as well.. If you don't know what Yabbies look like, let me know and I'll take a blip of them some time for you..

...And how EXCITING - on the way home, our son rang up and wanted to know what we were doing today - and bless him - we were home only 10 minutes and he pulled up in the driveway after driving 10 hours to see us..he wanted to be with us for Christmas and we are so thrilled..we shall have our boy with us after all as his own family are all going in different directions this year.. but we have some lovely photos I will show you some time soon of his girls - our other grand daughters, and newest editions...

...And we shall have a lovely time, I'm sure..he spent last year with us around this time as well..we have been spoiled..
