Christmassy Haworth
Regardless of the atrocious weather, Grace and John wanted to make a trip over the hill into Haworth. Haworth is in the Worth Valley and is famous for the parsonage and the Bronte sisters.
It was terribly wild and wet when we left the car to climb the cobbled Main Street we made it into some of the lovely shops before finding somewhere warm and festive for a cup of tea.
When we came out the rain had stopped and the wind eased, so we continued to browse the remaining shops and we reached the top of the hill as dusk fell. The church here looked lovely with its decorated trees and bauble arch at the gate and as I was taking the church itself was illuminated.
I often spent Christmas Eve in Haworth as a child with friends of my parents, so it holds lovely Christmas memories for me and for Grace and John it has special wedding memories from the summer so I am glad we braved the horrible weather today.
Stay safe everyone and have a lovely Christmas.
