The Eve of Christmas Eve

My family & I ventured out into Newcastle upon Tyne so I could get my 'short, back and sides' whilst my wife & Harry took a ganders around the shops. Torrential rain and blustering winds didn't put a dampner on the shoppers as queues formed outside Fenwick's store window.

This year they are showing a Fairy Tale Forest theme, which features characters including the Sugar Plum Fairy, Hansel and Gretel, Jack Frost, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the Old Toymaker.

Fenwick’s Christmas window animations are an institution in the North East, and provide a major attraction for families and visitors. They are the largest Christmas windows outside London, and represent an investment of close to £200,000.
