Neighbourhood watch alert

The Police have issued an early warning concerning this character.
It seems he always strikes about this time of year and try as they might the getaway car he uses is always too quick for them!
Despite his rather rotund shape his modus operandi is to shimmy down peoples chimneys and commit his burglary and shimmy back up again!
But the police are a little perplexed as he only takes mince pies and the occasional tipple from any brandy that might be about!
He also seems to be a tad forgetful,often leaving behind more than he takes!
He always is in the same fancy dress , has a florid complexion and clearly has not shaved for a good few days!
Police have a very strong tip off that he will be out and about tomorrow night,and might turn up anywhere!!
He is not considered to be dangerous......and indeed appears to be rather a jolly fellow!
Should you bump into him; Top Gear would very much like to see if his getaway vehicle will beat a Bugatti in a standing start!!
