Sorting through some of Dad's stuff today I came across a box of slides, mostly of Mum and my brother and sister, but there were a couple from 1970/71 with me in it. This is one. I'm at Dad's place in Pauatahanui because he is very sick. He will die sometime soon. I was to fly home tonight, but I've put that on hold (Air New Zealand are fabulous) and will stay for a while yet. It's sad to be in such a lovely place for this reason but I'm glad I am lucky enough to be able to say goodbye and support him where I can through his last days.
