Blipvent Calendar #23: Village de Noel

The day started thus: up at 5:30, airport at 6:00, boarded at 6:30, flew at 7:00. All of this happened while we should by rights have still been snuggled up in bed. On landing we schlepped our unfeasibly heavy hand luggage to Nice old town where we collapsed in a heap in our flat.

After a short rest we ventured out to sample the delights of Nice's 'Village de Noel' (i.e. 'Christmas Village' -- basically a nice Christmas market / funfair / icerink all rolled into one) where we enjoyed a glass of champagne and nibbles -- before noon! how decadent!

I took this at one of the many stalls in the Village de Noel and incurred the wrath (well, a dirty look) of the stallholder who evidently doesn't like photographers very much.

I think AnnW wins today with this shot though.
