Birthday preparations

I can hardly believe our baby is going to be 1 tomorrow.

It's been a busy day. The morning and early afternoon were taken up with food shopping and last minute Christmas errands.

The rest of the day has whizzed by. I made two birthday cakes for tomorrow. One is a Nigella birthday custard sponge with chocolate icing. I then worried incase Mack won't like the chocolate icing so made a quick simple sponge for him too.

Also managed to get the Christmas Day soup made - parsnip and ginger.

Chris has been busy finishing all the present wrapping for the past few hours.

We are both exhausted now but hopefully pretty organised, so we can enjoy Mack's special day tomorrow with not too many Christmas jobs to do. Yay!
