Birthday Blues

What a supremely awful day! Under a jolly birthday-grey sky, the rain lashed down and the wind has howled. And I've sadly turned 30.

I sensed when I woke up that this wasn't going to be a good day. A good mix of feeling frustrated/irritable/upset pervaded the day- aren't I a good person to spend a day with?!

Just feel a bit disappointed that I'm not where I should be in life. According to my father, married is the top one! Helpful. Anyways, I'm sure it'll pass, these feelings generally do.

Haven't had a birthday cake, which I have to say did make the day feel most un-birthday like, but I'm assured it'll be on it's way tomorrow. I did however get this shiny, new microwave from my sister and her husband :-) I've been meaning to buy one for a year, and never got around to it. For that I should be grateful :-)

Let's hope things are very different by this time next year :-)
