Rainbows

Rainbows are special for me. They remind me that good times can come after tough ones. They do make me think of the tears that came before the metaphorical rainbow though. For me most of those tears are linked to trying for my two kids. The first one took a while in arriving so taught me patience, the second one taught me endurance as I suffered 10 losses in a row. I look at rainbows and see those kids that were only here a brief moment and wonder what life would have been like with them here. However without those losses I would but have my youngest and she makes the world such a bright place.
It's still strange to think my kids taught be things before I even conceived them when it's supposed to be the parent who teaches the child. I should remember that more often and see what else they can teach me now they are here in my life for good.
