Good eggs

I was separating eggs to make the mandatory Christmas Pavlova. From five I got 8 yolks (shown here) and the sixth produced two more. I couldn't believe it but made a very nice custard pudding with them. The eggs were large free range from Lidl's.
My mother always produced a Pavlova for Christmas and now my daughter insists on it. I'll complete it on Christmas morning before we set off.
The wind is howling like an express train here and something rolled off the roof onto our balcony - it turned out to be a bit of next door's fascia.
