Ok Christmas Tree
:) I've decided our tree is pretty. As long as it's dark and the lights are all glow-ey and my ornaments sparkle. I had a pretty rough nights' sleep and this photograph was actually taken first thing this morning before the sun rose. I was just in awe of it as I tumbled down the stairs sleepily to get a glass of water to help settle my--err--nerves?
I've begun revamping of my reptile room. A major revamp. I've got all my plans laid out and where everything is going to go. I've decided I'd better get started clearing out stored things in there to make room for the 75 babies that will be hatching in 2015. Having 20ish this upcoming year will be demanding enough for room. I've got some racks ordered and tubs on my wishlist. Each month I'm purchasing about $50 in supplies to make sure all the baby geckos have good happy homes in advance.
In 2014 I hope that I am able to hatch more hainan cave geckos than I did this year. We had a survival rate of 5 babies, which is pretty good. One of the babies had a hard time since he hatched. He didn't thrive, eat or anything, so I wasn't surprised really when I found him passed away.
We also got another pet rat. Hah. She is so cute and soft. She's a rex rat, so she has kinked up curly whiskers and patchy velvety fur. Clawed wasn't hungry, even after two weeks of no meals. So instead of continuing to acquire more pet rats, we decided to wait off on feeding him for a couple more weeks per advice of a ball python breeder. Apparently ball pythons go into a rut of eating in the winter time--which makes complete sense.
Her name is Lint.
Other than that, a pretty relaxed day. I am starting to get a cold, along with my other half, though! Hopefully we aren't too bad for too long so we can get some baby snuggles soon!
