Nachtisch

Had friends round for Gänse Essen today.

After last years' disaster (the restaurant served me nothing but a plate of frozen veg and were not happy when I complained, implying that vegetarianism was wrong and if I had expected what was actually on the menu for vegetarians then I was clearly mistaken.) I decided to do the cooking this year.

So the vegetarian cooked two goose breasts, Klöße, rot Kohl and all the other extras - oh, and aubergine and chickpea tangine for me.

Goose was a success (by all accounts perfectly cooked) and I was happy too.

All David (our friends little boy) was interested in was his Nachtisch - brought a big grin to his face.
