Powerhouse Machinery AGM Site.

The machinery which generated electricity and Compressed air for AGM & Crown Crystal Glass Works was state-of-the-art technology for its period. This significant and rare collection of five Compressor sets from the Powerhouse dating from the 1930's to 1950's has been restored and relocated for this display.

An unexpected change to the 'Itinerary' today due to my Daughter having to go into work!. With that and the weather change today resulted with a tour around Zetland which has virtually been demolish and re-built with modern luxury apartments- except for this little bit of history which has been preserved in a living museum. So nice to see this wonderful machinery nicely painted and preserved to blend into these multi-coloured high rise buildings.
