Hyacinth

I was given a lovely pot of hyacinths as a Christmas present nearly two weeks ago... the buds were tiny and tightly curled up inside the short leaves. Well two weeks, some water, light and heat later, they have grown tall and opened up into these lovely florets of lilac coloured flowers. They look gorgeous and, even though I'm suffering rather badly from a cold and chest infection, I can still detect their lovely scent as I enter the room. Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
