Christmas by candle light

The promised storm battered us through the night with power going down at midnight and phones soon after. On surveying the damage this morning we've been lucky to escape with damage to fencing and a small flood in the garage. Phones will not be back in use until the New Year and power might come back tomorrow. The Heath that we live on is flooded and the nearby stream broke its banks earlier today.
So we've changed our plans and have decided to go to the cinema and have a meal out today. Tomorrow I will take uncooked Christmas lunch to one of our sons and cook it there!
