The Road Through Hell
This is the M25 clockwise at Cobham. Either side of the motorway is flooded in deep, fast flowing water and rising.
Yesterday the storm progressively built up momentum until it peaked at around 3am. Thankfully we have no major damage however, Leatherhead Fire Station is currently being evacuated as the River Mole has burst its banks and still rising. We've all been put on alert as another, more severe storm, is predicted for Boxing Day.
We've offered local folk, who have been effected by the floods, board and lodgings over Christmas if necessary. I don't know how we will accommodate everyone but hey ho it's christmas.
1 more sleep to go.
