Baked Pears

My brother is on a roll with the catering. Tonight's pudding - dessert pears with blueberries, in red wine and honey. Baked in the oven for about 20 mins.

I had two - did I have a pair of pears, or two pear halves, or two pears? Much discussion around the table. Twelve of us together ... good times.

I listened to Carols from Kings on BBC Radio 4 whilst on food preparation for tomorrow. Always enjoy the intricate harmonies.

Off to a Watchnight service now, my nieces and nephew are taking part. The Wee Brother is working this evening! In some ways, he's never really "off duty".
