Twas the night afore Christmas .....

... when all through the town, hardly a person was moving. Well not many people anyway. This was the scene at 13:21 and 20 seconds in Edinburgh this afternoon. Are we all ahead of the game? or is it just an illusion? I think it must be the former. We had a £10 token that expired today, so went and spent it. The town was reasonably in control. We didn't go to a big supermarket, where it may have been mayhem, so this calm scene may not be typical. The weather even played its part, windy but bright until we started for home. We are really fortunate to have missed the weather elsewhere. They will not be having such a Merry Christmas.
