This is the first picture I have of Louie in his adult plumage. He had a bit of a shock a few months back, we put french windows where the garage door used to be & one day he got stuck in the garage & couldn't work out how to get out... Dad saved him of course. But that really set him back. As he was extremely tame when I knew him as a baby, but now he's timid. Although today he responded to his name & came out for his picture, although not very close & he didn't stay for long. Note the white patch at the beginning of his beak... each & every robin has a characteristic or a particular look or body language so you can tell them apart - have a look at your resident robin next time if you can, look out for their distinguishing marks :) But, hello Louie, aren't you beautiful, you look so much like your grandfather - Larry Legs & your father Little Larry will be so proud of you, not leaving home, continuing the line on the same patch :) xxx
