Stormy Weather

It's 28 inches of mercury in old money or about 950 millibars and we are only about 15 metres above sea level here in Cumbria. That's the lowest I've ever seen and we have had the wind and rain to go with it. Today the power went off for about 3 hours. Luckily the lappers are well prepared and I helped H fire up the generator. We were relieved when the power came back on as the generator will run the lights but not the oven and there is a goose waiting to be cooked.
