Merry Christmas!

Wet and very windy at the early Christmas Eve Mass at the Willow Church (Weidenkirche) in Kaiserslautern.
Umbrella had to be held with both hands (made it difficult to take photos).

The third year in a row I made it to the open-air-church and despite the horrible weather it was again a wonderful experience and atmosphere.

As the pastor said: Anybody can attend in nice weather - and so many today proved they can do it in bad weather! Good we are not made of sugar - that would have been a very sweet puddle!
