Holiday Cookies

They are German, our neighbor's grandmother's prized secret recipe (Marylee, the cook in the family, thinks the key ingredients are cloves and chocolate--delicious in any case :) There were more to start with, brought over on this little plate.

It was the big event of our very quiet and happy day.
