Wonderful Celebrations for all but the cat

Today had a lovely start as the three children spent the night in a tent with their aunt so the rest of us slept in till about 8.30. We started with the lighting of the Advent candle (a new tradition to me), stuffing the turkey, then THE PRESENTS!! The kids are still pretty young and found it hard to wait. They are so enthusiastic. Food was a combined effort I love how everyone shares all the tasks. Next we make an extra leaf for the table - well worth it as all 9 of us then fitted.
After eating more than enough - my chocolate and plain meringues worked a treat - well a slower dozy afternoon. Lack of activity also due to the rain.

All in all a special day for everyone except for the cat who did get some bits not that you can tell from the pic.
