The Streets are paved with ….

We went by car to Menaggio this morning. For a moment I thought they had put out the red carpet for me, however the whole town was dressed in red so I had to conclude the town was dressed for Christmas and not for our arrival.

We had lunch in one of the bars then in the afternoon there were various events taking place. We paused to watch the line dancing for a moment or two. We also visited the stalls also scattered around the town.

In the evening it started raying. I had to drive down to Como to collect guests who will be with us over the Christmas Week. It was early evening, lots of people around, it was a relief to get out on to country roads where there was less traffic and fewer pedestrians stepping out into the road.
