I carried this nativity scene home from Los Algodones, Mexico last week. It is made like the Talavera tile that I love so much. The handpainted colours and patterns are so lovely. It will be a shame to have to store it away in the new year.

I was surprised to find that Mary is blonde. Is that just to please the tourists?
