Monitoring things

I've caught the throat lurgy so I'm not feeling great. My two OU short courses start this week and as I've got an exam in a fortnight I thought I better get them out of the way so I can dedicate my time to revision.

One of them is on energy monitoring and so today I've been going around with a plug monitor finding out how much power my devices use when on and when turned off. Got a few surprises as vampires (items that use power when not in use) were lurking where I'd never expected them.
