I had a day off today which was rather nice though I didn't do much. I was up early to put my dinner in the slow cooker. I rarely actually cook things so it was a bit of a novelty to eat a meal cooked from scratch by me

I popped next door for a while to see what Santa had brought for Ben. The lucky boy got an Xbox and was playing some strange game which neither his Grandad nor I saw any point to!

I got some lovely presents too and so did the cats. They even got a sachet of food each tonight as a treat, instead of their usual biscuits.

It was such a nice clear day that I thought I would get a good sunset shot but when I looked out the window I noticed the wee bird in the tree. I think it was actually a blackbird in a Rowan tree but it just doesn't have the same seasonal ring to it!
