Lord, Here Comes the Flood

Thanks for all the love on yesterday's 2nd anniversary shot! You put it into the Spotlight. I've had two shots manage this before but, in each case, the fame didn't last long enough for me to actually see the picture basking in the attention. Yesterday's stayed there for most of the day and I was able to "just check what was in the Spotlight... oh, that's mine!"

Christmas has been really good so far. It started just after midnight on Xmas eve when I picked H up from the station. Had to go to work yesterday but after that it was fun and games with our friends yesterday evening and then Xmas lunch at our place today with H and M and Mum and my Uncle D. C and M did a fine job on the meal and, between the roast and the Xmas pud, we took D's Sprocker Spaniel out for a walk. past the flooded fields (photo sorted).

H likes her "vintage" Nikon D50 and the kids got me a double LP of British Sea Power's soundtrack to the excellent documentary "From the Sea to the Land Beyond". The record came with a free MP3 download and a DVD of the film. And the discs are in "sea-coloured" vinyl! Excellent.

And C got me a book of 50 Photography Projects. Expect to see the results here. Especially if there is a chapter on "photo-shopping your cat".

I'll catch up with you all soon. In the meantime, it's nearly time for Doctor Who. Must make sure that I won't run out of chocolate or wine while it is on...
