Christmas potato ;)
What a lovely Christmas Day. Tim and I woke up early like small children, but had a nice slow start to the day. Once we were properly up we opened our presents, then went out for a walk on Blackheath.
Tim bought me a fantastic new camera - a Sony RX100, which I used later to take this photo of my pretty perfect roast potato. He also bought me a Kindle (he loves the one I bought him so much that he wanted me to have one, too!) and has sponsored a kiwi chick for me - in fact, the kiwi chick that we saw when we were in Franz Josef at the West Coast Wildlife Centre - little Oscar. I'm so excited about all my presents - and it's lovely to get news of Oscar - he's been released into his new temporary home on a predator-free island (he'll stay there for about a year until he's big and strong enough to defend himself against predators, then he'll be taken back to where his egg was collected from).
Lovely chilled out day with much food, some bubbles, lots of love and plenty of relaxing. Hope you've all had an equally happy day :) x
