Christmas Day

Today was a welcomed day in many ways. The gales had stopped, the rain gone, Santa had been and the sun shone!
We had a lovely stay at the Marcliffe last night and woke up to an array of Santa gifts! After a scrummy breakfast we wrapped up for a big walk round Counteswells woods and down through Walker Dam to Springfield Road and via the Palm Court for a glass of fizz before returning the Marcliffe for the rest of our Christmas Day.
It really has been a lovely day and given that they had over 500 mouths to feed over the day we really did feel special which can be hard to do with that many guests!
