The wonder of Christmas

This is Lola and her grandad exploring the contents of her Christmas stocking. I think hubby's expression says it all! Having our three grandchildren around has certainly made this Christmas special for us. The day, as always, has disappeared too quickly. The house is quiet now, with sleeping little ones and adults who are "fair stappit foo" as they say in this North-East corner, overcome by that inertia that comes with too much to eat and drink, and being relaxed and happy at the end of a lovely day. Me, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I always enjoy the Christmas day leftovers better then than on the day itself!
