Perfect Christmas

We have had the most perfect Christmas. The girls were excited to find that Santa had brought them lots of presents overnight and filled their stockings to the brim. They were very happy with all their gifts. Grace received her DS that she wasn't expecting until her birthday next August. Arwen loved her Peppa Pig toys. Ophelia was thrilled with the Box of Cheese that she had asked Santa for!

Grandad came over for lunch and stayed with us this afternoon too. Grace and him are very close. He is the girls' only grandparent and is now 86 (though he doesn't look or act like it!), so days like this are treasured, particularly given the news that a close friend of mine's Dad passed away on Christmas Eve. My heart goes out to him. The day was spent playing, watching new DVDs, The Snowman, and Strictly together. Lunch was epic and aside from a couple of things getting forgotten in the oven and burnt to a crisp it tasted good. Hey- ho ! Grace was fussy as ever with lunch but the others tucked in nicely.
