family day

religious significance is a bit lost under the tidal wave of consumerism.. but there ya go..religeons fine in small doses...for us its the girls day ..a day they in which they still believe in a mythical figure called santa and i reckon that was the last one before the girls twig that another myth has popped.. they loved it ,,we had a quiet one with only a few family members making a flying visit....and that was in part to see the latest landmark down our street ... one tree went down during the winds of the 23rd and yup that tree was our seventy foot conifer.. straight through our outhouse /gym .. the building has been mostly demolished ...the spa has been squashed on one side, my beloved rower is under the tree somewhere,, damaged ..and now we have a horizontal conifer that flattened our building and sticks out over next doors garage. Insurance says we have to clear the tree..i have no problem attacking it with a chainsaw but reckon ill do more damage, so there it sits until the loss adjuster gets here to view the damage..the winds are set to return ....see if the rest of the trees manage to stay up..
