She chopped up meat and stopped to give me a friendly smile. And I am sure she knows that tourists don't buy raw meat :-).

All the Thai people are so effusive friendly, kind and helpful. We experienced today this many times during our self improvised trip to the fisherman's village Pak Nam Pran, 35 kilometers to the South of Hua Hin.
