Boxing Day Blues
This afternoon we went for a walk around the Ardgowan Estate to get some fresh air and walk off some of our Christmas Feasting.
I believe Boxing Day was originally a day off for servants and they would receive a ‘Christmas Box’ from their master. The servants would also go home to give ‘Christmas Boxes’ to their families. In fact some say the tradition stems from Roman times, who then brought the idea to Britain.
It was a lovely afternoon and just as the sun was going down we were by the beach at Kip Marina. If you look large you can see the boat sailing in towards the Marina. We then stopped off at the Chartroom for a drink. On the way back to the house we had the pleasure of seeing a Heron sitting by the stream.
Hope you are all having a good Boxing Day.
