Apple

Oh what a night, woken by driving rain at 3 in the morning, didn't get back off till nearly getting up time. After breakfast we got ready for some friends who were joining us for a walk and lunch.

Our destination was a local old estate and woods. It was bright but chilly and very busy with lots of families and small children on new bikes and scooters. We reached the walled gardens that seem to be constantly closed recently at the same time as a couple of volunteers who had a key to this secret garden, they allowed us in while they did some watering and checking on the plants in the greenhouse. Most of the fruit trees were bare of fruit except this one, very surprised it's managed to retain its hold after all the recent winds.

Back home to lunch and yummy treats, and a roaring log fire. Quick phone call in to check on mum who has not been so well recently but seems to have turned a corner.

Back to work tomorrow, whoosh that seems to have come back round very quickly.
