kept at the Cathedral of Barcelona to symbolize the purity of Santa Eulàlia, one of the two patronesses of Barcelona (the other one being Mercè). 13 for each year of her life and for each the 13 torments she was put through for not renouncing her Christian faith during the Diocletian persecution. All sorts of legends abound about ow she was martyred and the geese are still kept in the garden in the cloisters of the Cathedral.
