The Hunt

Controversial I know but living in rural Northumberland, one of the things I enjoy seeing is the gathering of the Boxing day hunt. Having been brought up on the west coast of Scotland, the hunt is something I hadn't seen or really been aware of until I moved to England. Today the hunt gathered in the village square and hundreds of villagers also turned out to see the spectacle. It was a real festive atmosphere. I do object to those who follow the hunt's progress in their enormous four-by-fours stopping in the middle of the road to watch through binoculars, completely oblivious to any other road user.
Thankfully an opportunity for an outdoor blip!
