Merry Christmas everybody!

A belated merry Christmas to all fellow blippers - and a big thank you to those of you who have stuck with me over the last few months when my comments have been less than hit and miss!

This is not the most flattering of photos but it sums up the lovely family day we had. I really felt I needed a quiet family Christmas this year rather than the larger family Christmasses we are used to (and love). We missed being with everybody else but had a lovely day.

Santa must have had a separate sleigh just for us I think!! We both love Christmas and do tend to go overboard! We opened the presents in three parts in the end. Dinner was late but scrummy, even my Yorkshire puds were good.

We did spend a few hours with Stuart's parents for tea which was really nice too, then came back to open a few more presents and a quiet drink.

Almost perfect day - just one big presence missing and I did get a bit emotional at lunch time - but I know my mum and dad would have been looking down and smiling.
