The Eyes Have It

Today I had contact lenses fitted. The first time that I've had them, and the first time I've been able to see myself in a mirror without my glasses for 20-odd years. A really wierd sensation, and I spent most of the day trying to take my glasses off when they weren't there.

I'm not sure if I'll be a permanent convert to contacts, but for the benefits they give for sports/snorkelling, it'll be worth the temporary pain and frustration of learning to put them in and out.
