Elephant Elves

oh my heavens! WE HAD THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awhile ago, I planned out a perfect surprise for my Sugar Bear, as part of her Christmas present. I just couldn't wait for it all to play out. So excited that the day was finally here. I simply told Sugar that we were heading to a nearby town to see some pretty Christmas lights and do a little shopping. When we got to town....we drove to the wildlife park featured there and had a very special Christmas party with the Elephants. She was sooooooo surprised. Her joy was contagious.

We had the opportunity to see George the Elephant paint some ornaments. He does a pretty nice job. We also got to pet his trunk, feed him some bread, and have cookies and cocoa. HERE is a shot of us girls with George. And one of Sugar petting him. We also got the chance to paint an ornament that George had previously painted one side of. We both got to bring two home for momentos. Lastly there was an adorably decorated Elephant shaped sugar cookie to bring home. It was the BEST.

We walked around the park together seeing several other animals before heading to a few shops for some last minute Christmas shopping. We had dinner out together, and then went to the local festival of lights. It was a 2 hour drive home.....but well worth it. Sugar was so thankful for the wonderful present.
