Some things went bump in the night....

As the cat and I cowered under the duvet upstairs....there were quite a few crashes from outside. I wanted to get up and investigate but the cat said ' NO WAY....you are not going out there and leaving me here!!!!!' So waited till daylight and lo.....I had moved all the furniture back, well tucked up in the corner of patio as the prevailing winds tend to sweep accross garden and this wee corner is usually sheltered.......WRONG.... Oh well at least this time they stayed ON the patio. Have just come in now from rearranging everthing back to normal ...at least have been able to check everything else outside and this appears to be the only casualty. It is still blowing fit to bust and miraculously, the power is still on. That may be because the bath is filled and everything that needed to be charged up..phone etc is done, candles located and a new battery in torch, and piles of firewood in house !!
I should be used to this I hear you cry....coming from the Western Isles and BIG WINDS....well I am but usually no one leaves anything unsecured outside....like heavy garden furniture, small cars, trailers, heavy industrial refuse bins etc....oh no .....but down here in lush southern climes......????

The cat and I are staying in today by the wood burner!!!!!!
