Dead car

We had a lovely day planned. It's Grandma's birthday so we were taking her out to lunch (with a quick trip to the hospital to drop off a heart monitor first), meeting my sister and her boyfriend, nipping to Trentham Gardens to do some final bits of Christmas shopping, and visiting my brother and his girlfriend in the evening. Sadly, the car had other ideas. 7 hours after we were due to set off, after trekking through sleet with a rucksack and having purchased (or tried to purchase!) three different batteries, we finally have a working car again.
