It was a wild night and I woke up to find the bird table blown over and in pieces. Nothing a few screws won't fix, but it the meantime I'm getting a dirty look from one of our feathered friends!

Have been to the village to pay a cheque into the bank. The wind was really strong and gusty so decided the safest place this afternoon was at home, with a drink, chocolates and some DVDs. News reports earlier indicated thousands of homes in Cumbria without power. We are the lucky ones.
