Lisa's blipping life

Monkey man!

The eucalyptus tree we have in our back garden has taken a battering this winter and yesterday we noticed that one trunk had dropped about 6 feet away from its usual position, leaning towards the aviary and the conservatory.
Looking at it slowly the trunk was rotten, no wonder it was leaning. K tied the two trunks together and it managed to last the night but it was clear it wasnt going to last much longer.
So this morning in the middle of the winds K decided to chop it down. I stood watching from the bedroom window having near heart failure as he leapt from the steps to the tree, clinging on like a monkey while he tied it with a rope.
Down he got and with E pulling hard in the opposite direction the chainsaw came out and down it came.
It looks so bare now but i know it had to come down...
Never mind at least the other things are safe now
