Shining amidst the gloom
Hexham was a very quiet place this morning, apart from the sound of the wind whistling through the trees that is. It was cold, rainy and most of the shops stayed closed.
I'd arranged to meet the other Marjorie for a coffee. Our original plan to go to Newcastle for the day (Baltic and Sage, not shops) was abandoned because of the weather. Our first choice coffee shop was closed but we found refuge in Café Nero for a good natter.
On my way back to the car, I saw that this wedding car had parked in Beaumont Street. I think it was waiting to go and pick up the bride but I could see no sign of activity at any of the nearby churches.
I have given it a nostalgic look. If you go in large the rain is all too obvious.
Home to a Mum whose chest infection has finally declared itself - obviously in sympathy with my insides. What a pair!!
