Mystery bird
This little grey bird looks sort of like a nuthatch but it didn't act like one, and the beak is different. It can't be a blackcapped chickadee because the whole cap isn't black. That leaves the tufted titmouse, but where is the tuft? Maybe he hairsprayed it flat to his head? I've searched in three bird books and looked at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology website, and can't come up with anything definitive. How about you blippers...anyone have ideas?
Mostly rainy and really cool today except for a very brief interlude of partly sunny in the middle of the afternoon. We took our kids and grandkids out for pizza tonight. Oldest grandson has been home on leave for a week, and he is leaving tomorrow. It's so good to get the kids together.
