Leeford FC u13s sign off with a win

This turned out to be Leeford under-13s last ever game in the SELKent league (they beat Erith & Belvedere 2-1 at Charlton Park).

The manager had resigned the previous week (giving almost no warning); his son didn't play; and the team had just 11 players for the fixture (ie no reserves). The players were clearly jubilant about winning against the odds - and the coach is signing the match-card on a parent's shoulder.

Following this game, other players decided to leave, and the coach stepped down too. Some parents (including me) tried to keep it going.... but it ultimately - and sadly - proved impossible. This was my last ever Leeford photo.
